I Feel Pretty

Embracing Your Bare Face

Hello Lovlies. I'm Jordan Nicole :) So for the past few years I have continually had a love/hate relationship with my own face. This sounds bizarre... Not liking my own face? As awful as it is to not love the way you look I have spent years trying to make my face look different by applying various forms of makeup. Most of us do it. We are all guilty of having thought negative things about our looks. Even when you take out the pressure society puts on us to look perfect it is normal to have doubts about what we see in the mirror. As I have gotten older I have come to appriciate my face for what it is. God made me this way and I am perfect in his eyes, that is the thing that matters.  As true as what I just said is, I have continued to use makeup through the years. Why you may ask? As much as I think I am pretty it is so much a part of the world I was brought up in to wear makeup that I can't stop. It is a part of my life. The routine of applying it in the morning, reapplying mid day and using makeup removing wipes to take it off before bed is a part of me. Even so I go through phases where I look in the mirror after taking off my makeup and think about how, even though I take off my makeup and wash my face, it feels like I never have a face with no makeup. There is always some residual mascara and eyeliner. So I decided to wear no makeup every once and a while, in order to cleanse my face fully. I will go more than a month with not one ounce of makeup on my face. It is the most amazing feeling.

Am I the only one who has ever felt the need to cleanse themselves of makeup? If you've never done it then I highly recommend you try it out. It is hard at first to fight the instinct to put makeup on but it just brings a new calm to your life. If your worry is that your skin isn't perfect, mine never looks clearer than when I stop wearing makeup. Honestly this fear shouldn't hold you back regardless because we all get spots. It happens. It is part of life and everyone covering them up and lying about having them makes it a shameful thing. Be brave and honest about your skin. Try it out. I truly feel cleansed from the whole experience. I don't wear makeup for a while and then when I feel that it is time again I start back up. I don't let society pressure me into it, I simply wear it again when I want to. When I do start wearing makeup again I do it for reasons that I think should always be why we wear makeup. I wear it because I enjoy the process of doing it and because it makes me feel like my best self. I wear it for me alone and not other people.

Recently on How To Get Away With Murder, Viola Davis did an extremely honest and moving scene where she removed her wig and her makeup. Completely exposing herself on camera. This should not have been as shocking as it was but in all reality this is a rare occurrence on television. If you haven't seen it here is the clip from the show (contains spoilers about the storyline in last few seconds) and an interview she did about the scene on Ellen.

I am not against makeup itself. I am just saddened by the culture that leads to it feeling like a necessity rather than something fun and optional. No one should be able to pressure someone else into changing themselves. That goes for makeup, altering your hair (style and color), exercising, surgical procedures, and who you are. The pressure to do these things is real and something that should be a topic, not buried by the media. Just think of the number of tabloid covers you've seen shaming stars wearing no makeup. It is actually tragic.

I hope that anyone who reads this can get to a place where they know makeup is for ourselves, not others. Ultimate happiness and confidence comes from within. You don't need to wear makeup to earn validation from anyone. Love yourself and others will see that, makeup or not.

Adore You

My Lovely (Early) Birthday Present

Hello Lovlies. I'm Jordan Nicole :) My 22nd birthday is quickly approaching (let the nonstop day of listening to 22 begin)! I have no idea how is it is nearly December, let alone my birthday (which is the 4th). My lovely best friend Amanda told me months back that she had bought my present and has talked about it time and time again, since then. Due to the fact that she has been anticipating giving it to me for so long and the fact that we may not see each other closer to my birthday, she gave me my present early. What she bought me is the most wonderful and thoughtful birthday present ever so I thought I would show y'all the things she got for me!

So for a while now I have been hopelessly obsessed with Youtube and the people who create content on it. Now I may be so passionate about the topic that I feel the need to share my interest with others. They may, from time to time, not want to embrace my passion but I give them a sample video anyways and have managed to reel in a few people. You may think that it is odd for a girl who is a week away from turning 22 to be so into a subculture that is filled with tween girls but I don't care. The people I'm watching are actually my age, if not older, and I relate to them in a lot of ways. I don't feel embarissed to say I get a certain amount of joy from watching makeup tutorials that I could never accomplish or the daily vlogs (video blogs) of another persons life and adventures. It is nice to be invested in other peoples lives. Anyways, my point of sharing this with you is that I told my best friend Amanda all about Youtube and the section that contains makeup tutorials. She enjoys makeup as a hobby and I thought she would like hearing about products she'd never tried and various methods others use to apply them. My favorite overall Youtuber is Zoe Sugg (Zoella) so I showed her first, but she doesn't have a ton of makeup tutorials as she feels she is not a professional. My favorite Youtuber when it comes to makeup is Tanya Burr who does have a lot of makeup tutorials, seeing as she actually was a professional. Amanda ended up really enjoying them and has since found Youtubers of her own to watch. This bond led to the theme that she chose for my birthday present this year.

***All of the items below are linked if you hover over them :)***

Marley Lilly Monogrammed Makeup Bag

This bag screams Jordan Nicole. Like it actually yelled my name when I opened the box. It is my favorite color and it has my monogram. Anything with my monogram is amazing in my book (just look at my phone case). This bag is so big and I didn't know it but I desperately needed it in my life. I  have already put my makeup in it and managed to fit everything in it. I usually have to cycle things out of my makeup bag as I need them but not with this bag. I even fit my Naked 2 palette in there!

Zoella Beauty Creamy Madly Dreamy Body Lotion

Now months back when Amanda had started buying these items she had told me that "it" (I thought it was one item still back then) was something that I would never buy myself but needed. This statement is accurate with every item in this box but to be honest I would have bought this one for myself. I have been waiting and waiting to buy myself Zoella Beauty products because a lot of her things sold out so quickly and I wanted to buy all of the items I wanted at once. I'm so glad she bought me this now! The smell is just as lovely and fresh as I had heard and I'm so happy to have it.

Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Body Moisturizer, Very Dry Skin Formula

This fits in with our Youtube theme because you endlessly hear the words Soap & Glory while watching beauty vloggers. This lotion smells amazing and I have a feeling it will be getting a ton of use!

Marc Anthony Oil Of Morocco Aragon Oil Hairspray

Amanda got this and the next product in her Ipsy Box but I am almost positive I have heard of both while watching Youtube videos. Everyone can always use hairspray and this one being travel size makes it perfect to carry around with me in my makeup bag!

Wet n Wild Megaslicks Balm Stain in Lady & The Vamp

I really am convinced I have hear about this product from one of my beauty vloggers. Either way it is amazing. The formula is so nice and this color is so gorgeous for this time of year. When I put it on I instantly liked it with my skin!

Tanya Burr Lip Glosses in Aurora & Lets Travel The World

These two colors have now brought my Tanya Burr Lip Gloss collection up to eight! I love them so much. They have such a wonderful formula and the pigmentation is great too. I only need four more to have the entire collection from her first launch. The thing that impressed me the most is that Amanda knew which ones I didn't have! Tanya recently released a second launch, along with a limited edition Christmas shade and I ordered two of those, which should be coming in the mail any day now. Seeing as my collection is up to ten I think I am going to do a post on these soon :)

Sephora Pro Fan Brush #65

This is the nicest brush I have ever owned. This is actually the nicest brush I've ever even felt. These aren't hard statement to make, seeing as I don't own any brush collection, but it could not be more true. It is so lovely and feels like a dream when you rub it on your checks. I will treasure this brush and I already know it is going to inspire me to start collection brushes (finally).

Benefit Gimme Brow in Light/Medium

Now this product has been talked about to death on Youtube and I have wanted to try it for as long as I have been watching videos. I only recently started doing my brows (due to the mixed factors of Youtubers & pressure from Amanda) because I have pretty prominent brows naturally. I wasn't using a brow kit or pencil or gel or anything like that though, I was just using a brown eyeshadow with a small brush to do them. I am so excited to try a brow product that is meant specifically for that purpose. Plus I have heard so many wonderful things about this product!

That's it! With each item that I pulled out of the box I felt so special and loved. I would have gladly accepted just one of the things from the box and felt so thankful. To think that Amanda put months of effort into collecting these things for my birthday just makes me feel so blessed to have her in my life. She truly is an amazing person and even more amazing friend.

Amanda, thank you so much for the lovely birthday presents. It was the most thoughtful idea! Ultimately though, your friendship is the only present I will ever need and I will cherish it forever.

Taylor Swift's 1989 Deluxe Edition Review

"These songs were once about my life. They are now about yours."
-Taylor Swift

Hello Lovlies. I'm Jordan Nicole :) If you are new here you may not know that Taylor Swift is my personal obsession. If you aren't new I apologize for yet again dedicating a post to her, but this is my little corner of the internet to talk about things I love and she happens to be one of them. I have been in love with Taylor Swift and her music since she released her first single, Tim McGraw. I bought her first album the week it was released and have yet to miss a release week since. Everything she does speaks to me on a personal level and as she has grown, so have I. I am so grateful to have had her music to help me along my way. I am sure that most of you have purchased or at least heard 1989 but I wanted to do a little review of the album anyways :)

Tracks

Welcome To New York

"Like any true love it drives you crazy but you know you wouldn't change anything."

This was the third and final song that Taylor released pre-album release date. I understand its place on the album and how it sets the ton for what is to come but it is certainly not my favorite. I rarely click on it. That being said, when it comes on shuffle I sing my heart out and dance around. I am going to New York for the first time in less than a month and I already know this will be the soundtrack of my trip (sorry I'm not sorry, daddy).

Blank Space

"Darling I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream."

I knew this song would be a hit the first time I heard it (meaning at midnight on the release night). The beginning played and I said "This will be her next number one." right away. Taylor recently made history with this one even. She was the first female artist, ever, to replace herself in the #1 stop on the Billboard Hot 100 (kicking Shake It Off out of the spot). There is no reason to question why this song is such a hit. The lyrics. The beat. The rhythm. Everything about it is catchy and it certainly deserves every bit of praise it is receiving. If you haven't seen the music video yet (where have you been?) then I would highly recommend heading over to Youtube right now to watch it. The video even had an app through American Express (just search American Express Unstaged Taylor Swift in the app store). It's super interactive and fun :)

Style

"You've got that James Dean daydream look in your eye and I got that red lip classic thing that you like."

I knew this would be one of my favorite tracks before the album even came out. This was the song playing in the background during the Target adverts for the exclusive deluxe edition of the album. The 30 seconds I heard was enough for me to be hooked. That really is how catchy this one is. Who doesn't have that one person that your relationship never seems to go out of style?

Out Of The Woods

"But the monsters turned out to be just trees."

This was the second song Taylor released from the album pre album release date and let's just say that it was on constant repeat for weeks. I have had this feeling more than once and could never have put it into words as gracefully as Ms. Swift. Regardless of who this one is about it is a wonderful addition to the album and I still haven't grown tired of it.

All You Had To Do Was Stay

"Why'd you have to go and lock my out when I let you in?"

Taylor said this one came to her in a dream... she is literally a lyrical wizard. This is by far my most listened to song on the album. I love this song. Like, I love this song. Have I made it clear that I love this song? All jokes aside, I don't think I have as strong an emotional attachment to any other song on the album (a big statement to make). Even the ones that I could sing and cry about (which I do, frequently) don't translate into my life as much as this song. It may be because I recently went through a situation that was word for word these lyrics but I think regardless of who you are it is easy to connect to this one.

Shake It Off

"It's like I got this music in my mind saying it's gonna be alright."

The first single from the album, this song is definitely the anthem of 1989. My three year old cousin heard it once and walked around singing it for the rest of the day, that is how catchy it is. It is the perfect formula for a #1 song. It was indeed Taylor's second song to top the Billboard charts. You have all heard this one before (on the radio, on the tv, on your phone, in your thoughts, in your dreams...) so I won't say any more about it but you should definitely watch the video if you haven't. It is adorable and even features fans!

I Wish You Would

"I wish we could go back and remember what we were fighting for and I wish you knew that I miss you too much to be mad anymore."

When I heard this one I didn't want to like it. Something about it came across wrong and I instantly wanted to write it off. That would have been tragic because I now really like it. It is far from my favorite but it also isn't at the bottom of my list. The chorus of this one is just so relatable and the music all the way through just makes you want to keep listening.

Bad Blood

"Bandaids don't fix bullet holes. You say sorry just for show."

This is the snarkiest we have seen Swift since Better Than Revenge and I love it. Everyone has had that friend that just burned them so bad that there was no going back. This is the song you are belting out and thinking of someone in your life. It just applies to everyone. Regardless of the controversy over this song it gets stuck in my head all day and I find myself singing it around campus and my apartment all of the time.

Wildest Dreams

"Say you'll remember me standing in a nice dress staring at the sunset, babe."

The entire feeling of this song just shots it straight to the top of my list. I only had to hear the beginning to know that the vibes of this song were so up my ally. I know it has gotten a lot of comparisons to Lana (whom I adore) but I don't hear it as being similar to anyone else, so much as I see it being Swift in a softer light. This entire album just has such an original sound in my mind that I can't compare it to other artists. The lyrics in this song are a lot more mature then Swift's past material and I love that her music has never failed to age with her. I am 21 and have grown through her albums with her. This song fills a hole I needed to be filled with this album.

How You Get The Girl

"Remind her how it used to be.  Pictures in frames, of kisses on checks."

This is my least favorite song on the album. It is catchy and I listen to it when it comes on but I do not ever select this song to start of my 1989 playlist jam session. It supposedly isn't a song about her personal experiences. Maybe thats why I don't connect? I always seem to connect most with the songs about HER experience with love. I don't know. It is catchy. I like it enough, it just isn't my favorite.

This Love

"When you're young, you just run but you come back... to what you need."

I have listened to this song in the shower and as I lay in bed countless times. It is the ballad of the album and the concept of "if you love someone let them go and if they love you they will come back to you" built into this song is so moving. I would love to hear her sing this live, alone on stage. Just her and her voice (okay and maybe a piano, I'm always a sucker for Swift and a piano). I know that this song doesn't have the driving beat that some of the other tracks have but I find it even easier to listen to than the "hits" on the album. I simply adore it.

I Know Places

"Loose lips sink ships all the damn time, not this time."

From that first note on the piano you know that this dark and edgy sound is going to lead to an amazing song. The writing in this is so clever and the music complements the lyrics perfectly. The storyline here is something so many people experience. There is always that relationship you are trying to make successful while people on the outside are trying to make it fail. I have faith that Taylor truly does know places to hide from those people and all of their harmful words (even if it is just in this song).

Clean

"The water filled me lungs, I screamed so loud but no one heard a thing."

In an interview Taylor said that if her fans could only remember one song off this album that it would be Clean. I completely agree. This songs makes me so emotional. It is just so universal and you can hear how personal it was to her. I love it and it is the ultimate "break up acceptance" song. She really does have a song for ever emotion doesn't she?? This one was definitely a wonderful addition to the spectrum of emotions that her albums cover. The lyrics have to be one of the most gorgeous ever written (not just by Swift but in music period).

Bonus Tracks

Wonderland

"You search the world for something else to make you feel like what we had and in the end in wonderland we both went mad."

This is my favorite bonus track. If I think any of them should have been a part of the main album then this would be it (maybe replacing, say, How You Get The Girl?) hands down. I play this song so much and have actually spent a 45 minute drive only listening to it. It seems like a song Swift should have had on an album long before this and the concept is so true to love.

You Are In Love

"You can hear it in the silence. You can feel it on the way home. You can see it with the lights out."

This is widely known as Lena Dunham's future wedding song. Swift wrote it with Lena's boyfriend Jack Antonoff (whom also wrote Out Of The Woods with Swift). I love hearing this song late at night, driving under the stars. It is such a soothing ballad and the specific details in it make it feel so relatable (its funny how songs always feel more personal to you when they are personal to the artist). This one isn't at the top or bottom of my list. I have nothing bad to say about it.

New Romantics

"Cause baby I could build a castle out of all the bricks they threw at me."

There is a large following of fans who believe that this song should have been on the actual album. I really enjoy this song and it is definitely an anthem made for belting out with the windows down while you drive. The problem with this is that 1989 already had an anthem in Shake It Off. You can only have one anthem. I think she chose right with SIO because it is much more relatable to all ages. This song is perfect for those people in their early twenties who are having to find a new way to experience dating and finding love.

Voice Memos

These were a great idea on Taylor's part. Everyone always wants to know how she writes songs and these provide such a great "behind the scenes" look at her process. She included three different methods of her song writing and introduces each clip depicting how the writing took place.

I Know Places. I Wish You Would. Blank Space.

Every physical copy also came with one of five packs of polaroids. Each pack contained 13 (DUH) personal polaroids from Swift (I pictured a handful above) with lyrics from the 1989 songs. It is such a sweet touch and a great marketing strategy to get more people out to buy the physical album. I personally purchased the digital version on iTunes (well preordered it) and downloaded it at midnight but I also went to Target later that day and purchased a physical copy. If you are going to buy the physical cd then I think it is definitely worth getting the deluxe version, which is only available at Target.

Have you purchased Taylor's newest album? What is your favorite song from 1989? What's your favorite Taylor song of all time? Let me know in the comments :)

***Polaroid pictures are all taken from Tumblr. The only pictures that I took in this post were of the album itself.

Brown Eyed Girl

Living In A Blue Eyed World

Hello Lovelies. I'm Jordan Nicole :) I don't know that I can tell you the last time I turned on my television and wasn't met by a person with big, shinning, blue eyes. Eyes that someone has probably looked into and compared to the sky or the ocean but certainly not to dirt or mud. It seems like the pages of magazines are filled with those same eyes. The sea foam greens, the sky blues. They are everywhere. The thing that confuses me about this phenomenon is that statistically less than 10% of the population actually have blue eyes. Even if you lump them together with those green eyed folk you still don't get past 15%. So how is it that such a large portion of the people in the entertainment industry or in the media, that I see on a daily basis, have eyes that aren't brown (the majority holder by heaps and bounds).

My ultimate point: Does society push an unrealistic standard of beauty, even when it comes to things like eye color which can (feasibly) not be changed?

There was this growing trend when I was in middle school, and it has just grown in the time since. That trend is colored contacts. I have red hair. Fair skin. Freckles. The logically next trait to name in that sequence is light eyes. This is the stereotype of an individual with red hair. I don't fall into that box. I have never fit into any boxes society has. You see I was born into a family with a white daddy and hispanic mama. This is in no way scandalous now but when they got married in 1983 (in the very small town where they grew up) it was still an uncommon occurrence. I am so grateful to have been raised in a mixed home. I have seen what it is like to be raised in two different cultures and that gives me so much in life. It also makes it hard when it comes to checking a box on an application.

Getting past my back story and back into my point, I do not have blue (or green) eyes. I have brown eyes. They are light and have flecks or yellow and green but they are brown nonetheless. Even though I know that my red hair makes me think about having blue eyes more than the average brown eyed girl, I am sure I am not the only one out there with this thought: where are all of the brown eyed girls when I look toward the entertainment industry? Now this isn't a commentary on race in entertainment. The assumed eye color of a hand full of races is brown and that is expected (even in those races you see people who were born with blue eyes). I am referring to the races in which that 15% apply. They are the ones who seem to be picked for oscar winning roles, grammy winning albums. In the movies when someone is talking about a love interests eyes they are almost always blue. Is this fair to all of the people out there that have brown eyes? You rarely hear people have brown eye envy but all to often hear about others being "blessed" with blues eyes. Why are blue eyes a blessing? Why are we taught to covet something that can not be changed about our body?

The list of "Hollywood" stars that have blue eyes is never ending. It contains men and women of every race.

Taylor Swift. Jennifer Lawrence. Alexis Bledel. Kate Hudson. Reese Witherspoon. Amy Adams. Blake Lively. Zooey Deschanel. Tyra Banks. Cameron Diez. Amanda Seyfried. Tyler Oakley. Katy Perry. Emma Stone. Leona Lewis. Miranda Lambert. Harry Styles. Bradley Cooper. Michael Ealy. Rachel McAdams. Liam Hemsworth. Denise Vasi. Patrick Dempsey. Zac Efron. Ryan Gosling. Zoe Sugg. Leonardo DiCaprio. Angelina Jolie. Jake Gyllenhaal. Marcus Butler. Blake Shelton. Jesse Williams. Chris Pine. Brad Pitt. Nicole Kidman. Vanessa Williams.  Brittany Snow. James Marsden. Rihanna. Anderson Cooper. Hugh Grant. Neil Patrick Harris.

I am aware that I could also write a never ending list of people who have brown eyes. That is not my point here. My point is that if you looked at the statistics, proportionally more of the people in the entertainment industry have blue eyes than in the real world. It is bad enough that children grow up coveting certain body types or hair colors. They even want certain skin tones (I mean tanning is a large industry for a reason) but we have taken it so far that eye color is on the list of enviable things. They have even taken it further than just offering colored contacts now. With modern technology they are coming up with surgeries and operations that can permanently change your brown eyes to blue. This is so dangerous and most of them have the risk of becoming permanently blind. Why are we willing to risk something as important as sight just to have blue eyes?

I am not sending hateful thoughts to people with blue eyes or to people that want them. I was simply sitting watching E News and couldn't help but think about how society pushes unrealistic standards of beauty. Where does it stop? All I know is that I don't want my future children growing up believing that the way they were born isn't enough.

Begin Again

My Blog Revamp

Hello Lovelies. I'm Jordan Nicole :) So I have been lacking in the blog drive department lately. I have written so many posts that I just didn't think were good. I feel like I haven't been inspired enough to write a great post. One that is worthy of being read and that people will genuinely enjoy spending their time on. In an attempt to inspire myself I decided to finally purchase a template that I had bookmarked months ago. It has ended up being the best experience. Just changing the way your blog looks and operates can really improve how you feel about writing on it.

When I started this blog I decided it would be best to just use one of the templates that Blogger offers. I think that was a good decision to start off with, considering I wasn't even sure if I would enjoy doing this and continue to do it (I mean that's pretty obvious from the time between posts when I started). When you start anything it is good to not go overboard so I would suggest not paying for a blog template until you know that your blog is really something that you enjoy investing your time in. I also didn't buy a new template to try and get new people to read my blog. I really bought it because I wanted to look at a blog I thought was pretty when I wrote a post.

I purchased my template from www.envye.com. I really love all of their templates. They have a wide range of patterns and set ups. There is a perfect template for every kind of blog. The template I bought is Bare Naked.

Installing this template was one of the easiest things I've ever done regarding my blog. I know nothing about setting up a blog template but it came with a guide for each step and there are even videos to show you what to do. If you don't want to mess with it though you can pay a little more to get it installed for you. It's all made so easy.

Having this template lets me have an about, contact and featured page, which I always wanted before. It also gives me a section to link all of my social media pages. I love how clean and simple it all is. It is easy to navigate and looks a lot more professional. It makes me want to work harder on my posts :) I hope you like my blogs new design. I know I do! Let me know what you think about it in the comments and I'll see you in my next post.

Felt Good On My Lips

My Fall Lip

Hello Lovelies. I'm Jordan Nicole :) Seeing as it is fall and I have made it pretty clear that it's my favorite season I thought I would do a post on my favorite lip look for autumn.

Revlon Lipstick in 477 Black Cherry & Revlon ColorStay Liner in Plum

I bought this black cherry lipstick last year and instantly fell in love with it. The color is so gorgeous and just works so wonderfully in the fall and winter time. If you look at my pictures in my Turning 21 In Las Vegas blogs from last December I am wearing this lipstick. The only problem I had was keeping the color on my lips. I tend to lose all lipstick very quickly so it wasn't a problem with this lipstick specifically. I don't know if it is because I have dry lips or because I rub them together to much but it is a problem no matter what the reason.

In an attempt to fix the problem, this year I decided to try a lipliner to help keep the color on. The first time I wore this lipstick with a liner it stayed for hours. I was blown away. It even stayed after I drank coffee! I would highly recommend using a lip liner if you have trouble keeping lipstick on. I went and bought the Revlon liner that looked closest to the black cherry lipstick, which was in Plum. If you'd rather have a versatile liner that can go with any lipstick instead of just one shade you could always try nude liners. I have the NYX Wonder Pencil in light, which is great as an eyeliner too (it brightens your eyes and makes you look more awake).

To get my burgundy lip look to stay all day I simply outline my lips with the liner. Using a liner can actually create the illusion that your lips are fuller, if you trace just outside your actual lip line (I don't personally use this method but I see it all of the time). After I have lined my lips I fill them in using the liner as well. This is the step that really keeps the color in place in the center of my mouth, where is usually disappears from the quickest on me. Last I just put my black cherry lipstick over the lipliner and that's it. A perfectly finished fall lip :)

I went a little picture heavy on this post. I was attempting to show the color in different lighting but it feels like it came across more vapid than it did informative... Oh well! I hope that this post helps you or at least gives you some inspiration for your fall make up look. If you know any great dark/vampy/burgundy/berry lipsticks I should try out let me know in the comments :)

Other Makeup I'm Wearing:
Concealer: Covergirl Concealer Stick, Fair
Face Powder: Covergirl Normal Skin Pressed Powder, Classic Beige
Blush: Milani Baked Blush, Red Vino
Eyeliner: Maybelline Define-A-Line, Ebony Black
Mascara: Maybelline The Falsies, Black Drama

Lips Of An Angel

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick Review

Hello Lovelies. I'm Jordan Nicole :) I watch a lot of Youtube videos and I have a good deal of favorite Youtubers. One of the people on that list (well really at the top of that list) is Zoe Sugg aka Zoella. Her channel is so wonderful and she is just the loveliest person you'll ever meet (or watch.. you know what I mean). I have been watching her main channel and her vlog channel for a long time and have come to really trust her opinion on products. She frequently mentions Rimmel's Kate Moss lipstick range and after hearing about it more times than I could count I decided to give it a try. I went and purchased two to start out with, one of which was the one Zoe mentioned the most.

I enjoyed the berry and red shades I purchased so much that I went back to get another shade from the range. When I found the nude I knew that it was going to get daily use. Each of them is creamy without sliding off your lips. They are hydrating just enough without crossing over into messy. I have gotten a lot of use out of these and reach for them often. They are very pigmented and have good staying power. Plus the packaging is pretty and who doesn't like having pretty things in their makeup bag or collection? :)

14- Nude

This is my ultimate "my lips but better" color. I have been searching for the perfect nude for a long time and with this I have found it. It is a brown shade nude, very 90s, but I like that about it. I didn't want a pinky or peachy nude.

111- Red

The perfect matte red shade. It is not an overwhelming color on the lips but it is still red enough to make a statement. I haven't gotten to use this a ton yet but with the holiday season coming up I am betting that I will get a lot of use out of it.
***This is a lot more red than the picture suggests. I think the lighting was giving it more pink tones than it actually has.

107- Berry

If you want that berry fall lip but are a little hesitant on going dark this is the shade for you. This is a berry lip without being completely out there. If you use your finger or a brush you can actually make this a pinker berry color but if you just put it straight on your lips it is fall in a perfectly subtle way. I have been reaching for this a lot in the last month.

Overall I really enjoy having these in my makeup bag and I would love to buy more shades in the range. I would recommend the line in general but my favorite has to be the nude. Have you ever tried the Kate Moss range? What's your favorite shade? Let me know in the comments! :)
