Love Me Like You Mean It

April Favorites

Hello Lovelies. I'm Jordan Nicole :) April has come to an end. I'm not quite sure how that happened so quickly! Summer is nearly here. At least in Texas it is. I have been loving the spring so far though. It has been a great month and I'm looking forward to all of the things coming up in May. As always, this is my month favorites. Just some bits and bobs that I have been particularly enjoying this month :)

Fashion

Black Floral Kimono

Last year when kimonos really exploded in popularity, I wasn't fully aboard the train. I wasn't sure I thought that they were cute. By the time I had decided I wanted one, it was already getting cold and I didn't want to buy one if they were going to go out of style by the time I could wear it again. Then spring rolled back around and they had managed to stay in style. I found this one at Target and I adore it. It is so pretty, and obviously the floral pattern is what pushed me over the edge on buying it. I do love a good floral outfit :)

Target Boyfriend Jeans

I bought these when my Mama got a gift card to Target from work. I wasn't really that sold on them (or Target jeans in general) when I got them, but I wanted to buy something that I wouldn't usually spend my money. I didn't have any boyfriend style jeans, plus I don't own a lot of light wash jeans. Anyways, I bought them and then they proceeded to spend a few months in my dresser not being touched. A few months ago I pulled them out again and when I put them on they just fit better than they had when I purchased them. I have been wearing them a ton lately. I love to throw them on with a top and some Keds. I think they are really cute and a great piece to have.

Accessories

Navy Floral Keds

My Mama just got me this pair of Keds while we were buying her a pair of Sperry's out at the outlet mall. I had wanted this pair when it was originally released, but had never managed to get my hands on them. They are so adorable, and again that floral pattern snuck in there and stole my heart. They were on sale, which is awesome. I have worn them a ton already. I am now up to six pairs of Keds. I think the obsession is real.

Beauty

Lorac Face Primer

I got this as a sample when I purchased my Lorac Unzipped Palette earlier this month. The palette itself comes with a sample of their eyeshadow primer but Lorac was giving a sample of their face primer to anyone who bought one of their products. I tried this, not expecting much, one day and was so pleasantly surprised to see that it is wonderful! I have never tried the Benefit POREfessional, so I can't make a comparison there, but compared to the Maybelline Baby Face primer, it is so good. I may just have to purchase the full size, which is saying a lot for me.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

I bought this brush after I purchased the Real Techniques stippling brush and their version of the beauty blender. I loved those products so I figured I should try their most popular brush out. When I first got it I was using it for my blush and bronzer, but one day this month I decided to try it with my foundation. It is AMAZING. I love the finish it gives my face. It makes my foundation apply so evenly. I also use it for my concealer and my blush. It is such a multipurpose brush. I need another one desperately. I highly recommend you try this one out.

Home

Vanity Stool

Earlier this month I had my Mama bring me my old desk from back at home so that I could use it as a vanity in my apartment. I got it all set up and was loving it, but the only thing I was missing was a stool. My Daddy looked online and we were pretty sure that it was going to cost at least $50. We nearly purchased a $75 one even. Then I went to Ross with my Mama & Grandma one day, and we found this vanity stool. It was $25! This adorable vanity stool was only $25. It was such an exciting find. This stool being so cheap actually helped me be able to purchase the next item in my favorites even.

NYC Picture

I have a fairly large (for a college student) apartment and the ceiling in the living room happens to be vaulted. This makes it look extremely empty. I have a picture hung in my dining room but the walls in my living room were predominately empty. When I saw this picture on our trip to Ross I was so excited. It is so pretty and at $25 it was quite the steal. I hung it above my couch and it has really added a lot to the room.

Entertainment

A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall

I picked this up in the book section at Target one day when I was just browsing. I'm not sure why, but I decided to buy it. I very rarely do that because I have such a long list of books I want to read that buying one that I just saw for the first time doesn't typically happen. I usually just add it to my list and move on. Well with this book I bought it and started reading it a few days later. It only took me two nights to get through it. It is so adorable! Such an original concept and such a cute love story. You are really routing for the characters to be together, alongside the 14 people who tell you the story. Instead of the two characters in the love story telling you what happens, 14 people that are around them watching the story unfold tell you. It is so good. If you are looking for a new and original book to read, pick this one.

KathleenLights' Youtube Channel

I watch a pretty big amount of Youtubers. I have such a large lineup that I don't haphazardly add to my subscriptions. I just don't have the time. When I cam across Kathleen a few months ago, I instantly liked me. I hit the subscribe button half way through my first video. I have loved her ever since. I look forward to her videos all week. I just think that she is so gorgeous and then on top of the fact that she does the most gorgeous makeup looks, she also has an amazing personality. She is so bubbly and warm. I feel like I know her, and that is not a quality that every Youtuber has. She is also so unique. I can't say that I am subscribed to anyone else who could replace her. You should check out her channel!

Love Me Like You Mean It by Kelsea Ballerini

My Mama showed me this song when I was visiting home one weekend, thinking that I would really like it. She said that it perfectly described a relationship situation I was in at the time. I just rolled my eyes and looked it up. I am so glad that she showed it to me! It is so cute. The video is adorable too. If you are in your late teens or early twenties then I think you will really relate to this song. My favorite lyric is "If you're going to say it make me believe it." She is referencing saying I love you. It is just a really great song.

Girl Crush by Little Big Town

I just found this song this past weekend but it has so instantly become my new favorite that it has to be included in my monthly favorites. There has been some controversy over it because people are misinterpreting the message behind the lyric. At its core, this is a song about a girl wishing she was more like the girl who is with the boy she wants to be with. She figures that is she was more like her, then he would want to be with her instead. It is so heartbreaking and relatable. There are just some amazing songs on country radio right now. I'd recommend listening to all of the songs in the top 50 country charts on iTunes.

This month was a little long, but I just happened to be loving a lot! I hope that your April was filled with more flowers than showers and that your May follows suit. Let me know what your favorite things in April were in the comments :)

All I Want For Christmas Is You.

My Christmas Wishlist

Hello Lovelies. I'm Jordan Nicole :) Since it is the holiday season I thought that I would compile a list of the things I would love to get for Christmas this year. Now, this list is completely a dream list of things I have been coveting for a long time, not an actual list that I would give my parents or loved ones. I very much believe that the best gift you can receive & give in life is your time and love. My favorite part of the holidays is the happiness and joy I get from being so close to the people I love. I also know that not everyone celebrates Christmas but regardless of what you are celebrating this holiday season, you never need a reason to celebrate life with the people you love. This list is just a fun little post that I thought might inspire you if you are trying to write your own list or if you are trying to think of presents for the people in your life.

Starbucks Gift Card (~$10)

I never need an excuse to drink coffee but having a gift card (lets be real, for any amount) is so exciting. I love going into Starbucks and feeling like I got to get my coffee free. This is such an easy thing to give to the people in your life. From casual acquaintance to best friends, it is perfect for anyone.

Dorothy Must Die By Danielle Paige ($9)

I am a big reader and am always on the hunt for new books. When I came across this one a few months ago I knew I wanted to read it. This is actually cheaper for me to buy on my kindle but I love physical copies of books and it is a great easy-to-find (yet still cheap) addition to my wishlist.

Anthropologie Monogram Mug ($10)

This mug is very easy on the wallet, only coming in at $10, but because it is something that is personal to the person receiving it (it being monogramed and all), it feels even more special than any expensive gift. Most people drink tea or coffee and even if they don't this mug is so beautiful that they could just use it as a decoration. Again, it is great for everyone from casual acquaintances to best friends.

Begin Again ($10)

This movie is not short and I have watched it more than once. The story is very touching and emotional without feeling slow paced or boring. The direction is wonderful at keeping your attention and the original music is so lovely that you will want to run out and buy the soundtrack (trust me, I have).

The Cellar By Natasha Preston ($7)

This is another book that I have had my eyes on for quite some time. Like Dorothy Must Die, I could easily purchase this on my kindle but I would just rather have a physical copy. It is easy to find and less than $10. Such a great stocking stuffer idea :)

The 1975 Album ($9)

The 1975 has been around for a while and I have been listening to their music just as long but I have never gotten around to purchasing their entire album. Whether it is gifted through iTunes or I got to unwrap the physical cd, I would be thrilled to find this as one of the presents under my tree.

Circle Scarf ($15)

The color scheme in my closet it just begging for a forest green and a burgundy scarf. This one from Modcloth is gorgeous. I own this same scarf in mustard and get a ton of use out of it. This is still on the affordable side, while also being something anyone would love to receive.

One Direction's Four Album ($22)

One Direction is certainly not for everyone but I own their first three albums and have been wanting to add Four to my collection. I haven't wanted to buy the digital copy because I have the physical copy of their other albums. I would be so excited to unwrap this as a gift.

False Peter Pan Collar (~$20)

I love the way that collars look under sweaters but I have always been uncomfortable wearing shirts with another shirt on top. This is the perfect solution! The adorable look of a collar without having to deal with a collared shirt bunching up under my sweater. It is something I would be overjoyed to own but I never seem to buy it for myself. Those items make the best presents :)

The John Green Collection ($25)

I already own three of these books but they are all in ebook form and I love them so much that I want to add them to my physical copy collection. John Green is such a talented writer. If you have not read any of his novels I highly recommend him. He also has a Youtube channel with is brother Hank if you would like to see some more of him.

Bath & Body Works 3-Wick Candles ($22)

I adore Bath & Body Works and my favorite things from the store are their 3-wick candles. The Christmas scents just bring the season to life. It isn't the holiday season with out the holiday smells after all! As I write this their Twisted Peppermint candle is burning away on my coffee table :)

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette ($29)

This is the perfect present for a makeup lover without breaking your bank. It has all of the essential colors packed into a tiny palette. I have had my eye on this for a long while now. It is at the very top of my list :)

Tyler Oakley Merchandise ($40)

Tyler Oakley is one of my favorite Youtubers and I have wanted something from his merch store for a long time. This sweater is my favorite thing he has released. It is so applicable to my life! Anyone in their teens or early twenties that watches Youtube videos would love this :)

Taylor Swift's New Perfume ($45)

I have done a post on Taylor's other perfumes before. I own all of her earlier releases and wear one of them every day. I have heard this one smells amazing and want to add it to my collection really bad. That bottle is gorgeous too :)

Keds ($55)

I own a large collection of Keds but I have never wanted a pair more than I want this one. I think it goes so well with my wardrobe and they are just so pretty! I know my size (9 in US sizes... Just saying!) in Keds too so it is an easy shoe addition to my list.

Taylor Swift 1989 Sweatshirt ($50)

This is the sweater that Taylor is wearing on the cover of 1989. I think it is so cute and got so excited when I found out that they sell it. Taylor is at the top of the music industry and so many people are massive fans, especially of the latest album. This is a great gift for a lot of people and I am sure they would be very excited when they opened it.

Urban Decay Naked Palette ($54)

I got the Naked 2 Palette for Christmas last year and as much as I love it I have wanted to add the Naked Palette to my makeup collection since then. I think having both of them would give me all the colors I could want! If you have a girlfriend or friend who likes makeup this (or any of the naked palettes) would be a great gift.

Those Fall Nights Sweater ($55)

I adore modcloth.com and I have had my eye on this sweater for more than a year. I think the color is gorgeous and everything I have bought off the site is great quality too. If you like vintage type things then this site is definitely for you.

James Avery Arrow Ring ($69)

I don't wear a lot of jewelry. I'm not very good accessorizing. Most of my things are just plain silver items that I can wear everyday, with anything. James Avery is my favorite place to get jewelry. I have multiple pieces from them that I wear every day. This ring is so pretty and I love the sentiment of "following your arrow".

A Kitten (~$175)

I have been dying to get a pet. I live alone and I think having a pet would really help me feel less lonely when I'm alone at my apartment. I love cats. I know that is a controversial statement but I do. I want a kitten so badly. I want a little girl and I am going to name her Kennedy. I want to get her soon but getting her as a present for Christmas would be so magical.

How I Met Your Mother Box Set ($160)

How I Met Your Mother is one of my favorite shows. I was so sad that they didn't let it get to ten seasons. I know that all nine seasons are available one Netflix but I own a lot of box sets and I just like having them better than watching them online. I think this boxset is so cool and have been waiting to get it for a long time. If you've never watched the show you should definitely give it a chance :)

Nume Titan 3 Curling Wand ($250)

I have been wanting a new curling wand for a while now and I have seen a lot of Youtubers talk about Nume's products. I think that they seem really great and there are constantly codes (try SLIEGHBELLS for 60% off their regular items or STOCKINGS for 20% off their holiday catalog... Thanks to Kayley Melissa on Youtube for the codes) to help you get their price down to less than $100, which is amazing.

Beats Headphones ($300)

I have borrowed more than one friends pair of beats, more than once, during finals to help me concentrate in a crowded library and love them. They really do completely cancel out noise and make me feel like I am completely concentrated. I just throw on some Explosions In The Sky and get things done. Any student would probably benefit from having them.

Canon Rebel T3i (~$600)

I have this far-fetched dream of starting a Youtube channel and so I have been looking at cameras a lot. I think this is the perfect camera for me to start out with. I've also always loved photography so I think I would really enjoy having this camera. It would be amazing to receive it :)

Taylor Swift 1989 Pit Tour Tickets (~$600)

My ultimate dream right now is to see Taylor Swift in concert again. I have been a fan since the release of her first single. I got to see her on her Fearless Tour when she came to Austin and it was an amazing experience. I have wanted to see every tour since. This would be the most amazing present ever.

That is it! My top 25 things on my Wishlist for Christmas. I hope it gave you some ideas for yours and for presents to buy your loved ones. Let me know what the top items on your Wishlist are in the comments below. Have a wonderful Christmas (if you don't celebrate Christmas, have a lovely holiday season) and enjoy your time with your loved ones :)
